Done In!

Woke up this morning to a killer frost, my beautiful flowers are now shades of black! The photo above was the last photo of my hot pink zinnias with frost! We've been cold for days, but last night was in the upper 20's. I could've covered some of them, but I decided it was time to let go. The nights have been cold off and on for over a week! I wish I could capture their beauty and keep them alive forever!

They are really beautiful, jo! How nicely frosted ;) How long does it last if you cover them?!

Weather here is not that cold yet, but winter is coming gradually!

Hi Ochi,

Really they were very beautiful frosted, but as soon as the sun melted the frost away they were dead! Sometimes they will last awhile when covered, but mostly when it gets real cold they start to fade away!

Hi Jose,

They are very pretty when first frosted, but when the frost melts they die!

Some of my flowers will come back in Spring, but most are annuals and have to be replanted!

Hi Jo,
I know how you feel about letting go of your most beautiful and most cared for garden.Don't worry just think next summer season you will have a new lust for planting and harvesting and then the cycle will start all over again.
Jo, you said that your husband was out this way? It started snowing on and off here two weeks ago already and I hope that they had some place nice to stay.Did they have any luck here with the hunting?
I am so truly happy for you in connection with your newly found employment. I hope that you like it too and I do hope that your job will not keep you away from all of us out here in the blogosphere. That would really be a shame!!!
I have also been working a lot lately and do not have much time for anything else. The little time I have for my blog is so rushed, let alone visiting and saying a few words to you guys, my friends.
BTW, LOL! I would not have had the courage to give up Snoopy even he was just on loan. My God, he is the most cutest creature I have ever seen!!!
When you have time sometime, email me about your job.

Love,
Nazarina.

Hi Naz,

It was my brother in law who was out your way hunting elk! They stayed in tents can you believe it! This is why we had Snoopy! Will email you soon about my job!

Yes the last day when Snoopy left, I was very sad. Missing my Delilah, and being able to baby another dog was fun! But OP is very happy to have his house back!
