The Humane Society of the United States rescued hundreds of dogs in a raid of Pine Bluff Kennels. Be a part of the cause to "Stop Puppy Mills." These poor little things are living their lives in cages only for breeding purposes. We need to stop the horrible conditions these animals are suffering, by not supporting the breeders who profit from their deplorable mills. Laws definitely need to be enacted to protect innocent animals from being abused in the mills, and bred over and over again to be sold. The hundreds of dogs taken in the raid will be placed into shelters, and put up for adoption.
Adopt a pet from your local shelter today! With the present declining economy, the pet adoption rate has gone way down. Consider adopting from your local shelter, never purchase a pet from a pet store, you'll be supporting puppy mills if you do! Shelter pets are the most loving pets in the world! Breaks my heart... Both my dogs are rescue dogs. One was abandoned and walking the streets and spent a week at the Humane Society before we adopted him. The other one lived 5 years in a cage in a backyard. She's a border collie who loves to herd...can you imagine her being locked up like that?
Breaks my heart too Kate. I remember you posting a pic of Max, was trying to cooment on it one day, but comment would not go through! Beautiful dog he is! I couldn't imagine any dog living in cage or dog box. We have a dog box, but it's hardly ever been used. My animals are always with in with me where they should be.
