Fiery Final Fall Color Photos 2009!

I couldn't resist pulling over on a busy intersection, to grab a shot of the last red maples lighting up the horizon on my way to work! This beauty caught my eye and finally I gave in to my temptation to capture the colors laid before my eyes!

Many of her leaves were still intact, while the majority of the trees in the area are already left with naked limbs. Colors of gold, orange, and red, explode in the early November Fall sun! Brings back childhood memories of jumping and running through huge piles of raked leaves! Almost makes you want to dive right in!

Frosty mornings have left a toll on the blemished leaves shown here in the close up. Their beauty even more immacualte, as the sun shines through their transparent colors. The last of Fall is upon us, and we've been spoiled experiencing some awesome Indian Summer days here in Pennsylvania!

Knowing and dreading Winter is just around the corner. Yet every season celebrates a unique beauty of it's own, and I'll be waiting for the chance to catch the next great still frame!

Jo, this is absolutely gorgeous! You still have these beautiful reds to admire and enjoy! you took beautiful shots of these trees!
Over here it is so snowy and cold and visibility practically zero! I sat by my fire place all day today, did not want to venture out. My husband left early to go boarding, I did not want to go. Can you believe he only got home now, stuck in all that snow!
Pretty soon you too will be stuck in all that white ha! ha!

I couldn't believe it myself Nazarina, these trees are still beautiful. I see them on the way to work! The weather has been so warm, knock on wood. I had clothes on the line the past few days! You can keep the snow lol!

I just stumbled across your blog and I think it's great! I live in the Poconos, and I am an animal lover and activist, so of course your animal posts as well as your breathtaking photos caught my eye.

Hello fellow Pennsylvanian animal and region lover! Nice to have some neighbors around, who have the same interests! Love your blog and website too!

Reminds me of home (the lovely Pocono Mountains).

Unfortunately Chicago opted to skip Autumn this year and the leaves were still green when they started to fall. Kudos on the pictures.

Hello Luke,

Another Pocono Mountains resident! I've met a few folks from their on the internet, but never had the chance to visit! I'll definitely make it a point this year to make a trip!

Fall has been very unusual this year hasn't it here in PA? I could take this weather all Winter! Thanks glad you liked the photos!
