Pennyslvania Trooper Kevin Foley was in court today for sentencing. The Judge gave him the automatic mandatory life sentence without parole! Trooper Foley was convicted of first degree murder in the brutal murder case of Dr. John Yelenic. Kevin Foley was living with Dr. Yelenic's wife Michele up until his murder arrest.
John Yelenic's family is happy to be done with this phase of the trial, having to wait 3 years for a conviction! They are continuing with their $1 million wrongful death suit against Foley, Michele Yelenic, and past friends of Foley's who helped to hold evidence in Dr. Yelenic's case.
Kevin Foley still upholds his innocence and plans with his defense attorney to appeal!
There is a beautiful photo of John and Michele on the channel 4 news write up. Unfortunately, not all stories have a happy ending! My husband and I are very content knowing justice has been served in our friend John's murder case. May his loving spirit now finally rest in peace! We miss John and his irreplacable smile!

3 years are long... But all the people who were left behind should be content knowing this.
I feel like he is still alive since you write this post once in a while...
Life is finite, so we need to thank to it everyday and live long for him and others.
Justice has been served. I'm glad it's over, too. I know it was probably painful for you.
Hi Ochi,
Everyone who knew John was touched by the verdict, and his story has been kept alive in the media and my blog posts! Yes we are to be very thankful for our presence in this beautiful life!
Yes Jo it's a relief for everyone who knew John! So sad he had to die in the prime of his life! I still can't believe it's been 3 years already!
It's kinda sad that we celebrate when we see that justice works. Wouldn't it be nice if that was the norm. I'm certain family and friends will rest easier now.
Hi Dan,
I truly believe that justice is served in one way or another. If not prosecuted by law, than terrible life events will follow those who're unjust! It's a relief that a person so violentis not running freely in society!
It's not really over until the one who caused this all to happen is behind bars too. Either Michele manipulated this bozo to do her bidding or she colluded with him to commit this murder. Either way, she's complicit. Why aren't the police charging her? I wonder if someone was to contact Foley and inform him that she's moved on with her life after she used him to kill her husband then got him out of the way with a lifetime prison sentence if he would flip? I'm sure the longer he sits in prison, the more time he'll have to sit and resent.
You are right, Mandy. She had to be an accessorie to this crime, at least.
