Early Spring Flower Photos

The delicate Crocus is one of my favorite Spring flowers. Crocus flowers have been blooming everywhere here. I picked this purple and white beauty one evening walking Sierra. This crocus was blooming along a creek near a huge maple tree. I put the crocus in the leaves of my poppy plant, which is also coming along soon! I love the fine lines on the petals!

First daffodil has graced my flower bed with white petals and yellow center! Great to have flowers which come back on their own every year!

More yellow growing by our pool. Nice too see yellow and green after our long cold, snowy Winter! I've many tulips, lilies, dianthus, and poppies coming! I can't wait for them to bloom. What Spring flowers are blooming in your area! The baby bunny in my header I took late Spring last year! I was surprised how close the bunny let me come, to get this great shot!

As a wedding gift we received a redbud tree that we planted in front of our house five years ago. This is the first year it has actually blossomed. I'll get some picks. Also in the front we have a slew of Easter lilies, they are popping up everywhere. Granted they have yet to bloom. A camellia just off of our back porch has had a bumper year, on a windy day (which we have had plenty of lately) it looks like snow beneath. Our rose bush adjacent to it NEVER stops blooming and has the sweetest smelling roses. Along with that we anticipate confederate jasmine and honey suckle to start popping soon and they are EVERYWHERE around our place, as well as the ubiquitous azaleas, lantana, gardenia, and a few ligustrum. We’ve also some new butterfly plants purchased recently that I have no idea what they are called. And that is just what I can think of off the top of my head. Oops, forgot the hydrangea. Ooh, and the Mexican heather. Oh, yea and all of the flowering “weeds” that pop up everywhere, most especially the spider wart that tastes so good.
OK, I’ll stop now.

Hi Ochi,

Thanks the flowers are coming here everywhere. The rabit is wild, the mother made her nest right in the middle of our back yard last year. This little darling bunny let me come soo close to get this photo! I was very surprised, I guess they're getting used to me! It's cold and raining here too, the weather bouncing back and forth from warm to cold!

Hi D.B.

Seems you and your wife have quite a garden there, I'll look forward to viewing your magnificent photos as they bloom for you! I'm excited that I've 3 poppies blooming this year! I've a rose bush like yours which was an anniversary gift, and red roses are stunning every year! I've plated other rose bushes , but didn't do well! Isn't Spring grand, the array of color is coming back into our world again! You've got flowering weeds?? I got that nasty crabgrass, actually grows right through the black plastic and mulch we put down. That stuff is wicked!

and our pear tree is blossoming, does that count?

Does your pear tree have flower blossoms? Every tree counts to me, you know I've still people looking up my crabapple tree photos! That's a Spring blooming tree also!
