We have more than doubled our snowfall totals for the month of February. Again 3-4 inches of snow, and now it has started to rain. Took this snap shot of my pines, one was a real christmas tree we replanted outside! The snow was so wet and heavy, great snowman making snow. Quite breath taking living here in the country. The snow seems to fill in the naked branches on the trees, and sometimes looks like lace! Have an inspirational weekend! :)

Crossroads ~ A Poem
For the Writers Island Prompt: Second Chance:
Crossroads
Contemplating life, I’d pay more attention to the
simple things, and far less attention to fine details.
Spending wasted time on becoming a perfectionist.
Trying to be the perfect wife, lover, mother, daughter,
sister, and friend.
As if life were only filled with infinite details of
boring perfectionism.
Had I a second chance, I’d wish for one more day,
just one more ordinary day laughing and breathing
with you.
For ours was a love worth remembering, and the
familiar single moments are what I miss the most.
Facing death loved ones gone on, searching pieces of
me scattered along these lonely crossroads. Memories
so vivid in my mind, yearning a one way ticket back
straight into the past...
for a second chance to love and touch you again.

Missing My Show, and The Calm Before The Storm.
Have any of you caught the weekly program "The Last One
Standing," on Discovery channel? It ran here every Saturday
morning at 10:00 AM. This was a ritual for me in my primping
for the day to watch these 6 men, who by the way were prime
specimens of the male species. They were to say the least
not at all hard to look at! Rajko was my favorite, with Brad
coming in second. The show was very interesting in the fact
that they actually lived with their tribal hostess families,
and were a part of their culture while they stayed there.
Their tribal sports competitions took them from Mongolia, to
South Africa, and to Mexico to name a few. They ate and
slept with their tribal families, and sometimes really drew
a bond with them. Congrads to Jason the BMX Player who was
the last one standing! I hope they bring this show back,
really enjoyed it! Information on the guys can be found here:

A Winter storm is again headed in our direction, with yet
another sleet rain tomorrow. Ice skating rink weather
again, you gotta love it!

Neko ~ My Japanese Lucky Cat
The past two years have taken quite a toll on me. My mother passsed away in April 2006, my father-in-law in Jan 2007, and most recently my Bones cat passed away with me here at home just before last xmas. So in all my sadness I decided to get a new kitty. My Bones was an abandoned kitten dropped off at my home. A photo I took of him won a photo contest sponsored by our local humane society, found on my animal webpage here: Inspirational Images For Animal Lovers
I found OP at the same shelter that Bone's calendar was in. OP was dropped off at the shelter and found trying to keep warm in the Oil Pan of the shelter's van. I fell in love with him immediately, when I saw his photo. He had special Japanese eyes. We went back to that shelter 3xs, being animal lovers it was so hard. But something drew me to OP, we finally got him. He was very sickly for 2 weeks, but I nursed him back to health, and he is a wonderful addition to our family. My chocolate lab Delilah loves him!

A Day For Lovers!
Happy Valentines To All Lovers.
One of my favorite classic poems:
All Paths Lead To You
All paths lead to you
where e'er I stray,
You are the evening star
at the end of day,
All paths lead to you,
hill-top or low,
You are the white birch,
in the sun's glow.
All paths lead to you
where e'er I roam.
You are the lark-song
calling me home.
